Does a waterproof breathable membrane provide the roof wind-uplift rating?
No. Material strength and air-permeability data are not a complete wind-uplift classification. Roof wind resistance depends on the entire assembly, edge and corner zones, substrate, fasteners, seams, panels and accepted test or engineering basis.
Why can salt or coastal dust affect seam work?
Contamination can reduce contact between an adhesive accessory and the substrate. Clean and prepare surfaces using the approved procedure, verify dryness and temperature, and use a documented representative adhesion check when required. Do not assume a surface is ready because it looks dry from a distance.
Can installation continue in high wind if the roll is mechanically fixed later?
